Meet Tara

Hi, I’m Tara Rose Laborico, an entrepreneur, creator, and hands-on problem solver who believes in building a life on your own terms. My career path isn’t a straight line; it’s more like a map of detours that all led somewhere useful. From producing award-winning high school TV news and studying photography at The Art Institute of Portland to mastering the kitchen at Western Culinary Institute, I’ve always been driven by curiosity and the desire to create things that are both meaningful and practical. Whether I’m capturing a sunset over the Willamette River, plating a dish with a photographer’s eye, or navigating complex compliance systems, my approach remains the same: show up, learn fast, and do it right.

Authenticity & Inclusivity

Being openly transgender is the lens through which I view the world and run my business. Embracing my true self wasn’t just a personal milestone; it was the catalyst for building a life rooted in authenticity and courage. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I’ve learned that the most powerful thing you can do is show up as your whole self. My work and ventures are intentionally built as safe, welcoming havens for people of all gender identities and sexual orientations. I don’t just accept diversity; I celebrate it, knowing that when people feel seen and respected, they thrive. My story is one of transformation, and I’m honored to share that space with others who are brave enough to live their truth, or are curious to learn more.

Life Beyond the Work

Outside of work, I’m a parent of four who treasures connection, freedom, and experience. You’ll usually find me gaming, taking road trips with no real destination, or enjoying a quiet night with a good show. Life for me isn’t just about business. It’s about balance, growth, and creating something that lasts. At the core of everything I do is authenticity. I believe in being real, building genuine connections, and fostering environments where people feel comfortable. This site is an extension of that philosophy: a place to share what I’m building, where I’ve been, and where I’m going next.
