This is my personal website. I keep it simple: I only collect what I need to answer you, and I never sell or rent anyone’s information. Here’s what happens when you visit.
Who I am
This site, trlaborico.com, is run by Tara R. Laborico in East Portland, Oregon. Questions about this policy or your information can go to contact@trlaborico.com.
What I collect
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address, subject and message. The form sends them to my email so I can reply. I don’t add you to any mailing list.
- When you leave a comment: your name, email address, website (if you add one), your comment, your IP address and browser type. Your name, website and comment are shown publicly; your email is not.
- When you browse: like almost every website, my web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited and the time). These are used for security and keeping the site running.
I don’t use analytics, ad tracking or social media tracking pixels on this site.
Services that help run the site
A few outside services handle parts of the site. Each one receives only what it needs, such as your IP address or the text you submit, and follows its own privacy policy:
- Namecheap hosts the website.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the contact form is being filled out by a person, not a spam bot.
- Akismet (by Automattic) screens comments and messages for spam.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts, so your browser connects to Google to download them.
- Elementor’s accessibility widget provides the accessibility button in the corner of the page.
The Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok icons are plain links. Nothing is shared with those sites unless you click through, and once you’re there, their own policies apply.
Cookies
This site uses only a few small cookies: one remembers your cookie choices, comment cookies can remember your name and email if you ask them to, and login cookies are used only by me when I’m editing the site. You can change your choices at any time on the cookie preferences page.
How long I keep it
- Contact form messages stay in my email for as long as I need them to keep in touch with you.
- Comments stay on the site until they’re removed. Comments caught as spam are deleted automatically.
- Server logs are kept by my host for a limited time, as part of normal hosting.
Your choices
You can ask me to show you, correct or delete any information you’ve sent through this site, including your comments and messages. Just email contact@trlaborico.com and I’ll take care of it.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent me something, email me and I’ll delete it.
Changes
If I change how the site handles information, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
